This painting takes a common shape– the rectangle– and brings it off the canvas and ‘out of the box’ by combining a multitude of layers and a repetitive series of diverse, intense colors creating a three-dimension effect. The name ‘Box Pleat’ comes from the rectangles standard shape and the resulting distinct textile-like pattern that is created. |
