2. What types of paints/media do you use?
I use acrylic paints, paint markers and my computer for a lot of concepting. I choose to work primarily in acrylics for the vibrancy in color, thickness of texture and quick drying time.
3. How long does it take to complete one of your pieces?
The time it takes to finish a painting can have many variables such as size, complexity, and media. The range is anywhere from 40 to 400 hours.
4. How many pieces do you paint for each show?
I paint on average 4 to 12 paintings depending on the size of the pieces and the size of the show.
5. When and where do you paint?
I like to paint at night in my studio when its quiet.
6. Who are your favorite artists?
There are specific aspects of various artists work that I like such as Keith Haring's simplicity, Andy Warhol's point of view, Kandinsky's use of color, Van Gogh's use of texture. The most inspiring artists to me right now are the local New York City street/graffiti artists.
7. What inspires your work?
I find a lot of inspiration from my hometown of NYC. Local music, architecture and design, the urban outdoors bring an ever-changing experience that helps fuel my work.
